A simple guide to starting and completing your secure identity check.

Before you start

You will need:

  • A smartphone with a working camera.
  • A valid form of identification, such as a passport, driving licence or national identity card.
  • Approximately 5 minutes to complete the process.

How to start

Scan the QR code from the email or letter you received using a camera-enabled smartphone.

If you cannot scan the QR code, click here to enter your surname and reference number.

About Veriff

Mortality Manifest uses Veriff, a secure identity verification provider, to help confirm your identity online.

During the check, Veriff may ask you to take a photo of your identity document and a selfie. This helps confirm that the person completing the check matches the identity document provided.

Please make sure your photos are clear, not blurred and not affected by glare before submitting.

What happens next?

Once you have successfully completed the identity check, you will be redirected to a confirmation page.

If we hold an email address for you, we will also send you an email confirming that your verification has been received.

In most cases, no further action is required.

If there are any issues with your verification, a member of the MM Overseas team will contact you and guide you through any additional steps that may be needed.
